ABOUT MEGHAN
Reckling Family-135_pp.jpg

Meghan grew up on her family farm in the small mid-Michigan town of Howell, where her parents have been small business owners for over 30 years. It was there that she began to learn the value of hard work, spending her days on the farm and at the family business when not in school.

While in high school, Meghan was active in both the local and statewide chapters of the TeenAge Republicans. Through her involvement, she developed a love of politics, so after graduating from Howell High School in 2003, she attended Michigan State University, where she studied political science. During her first year in college Meghan also began an internship with the Michigan House of Representatives. By 2004 she took a full-time position as a Legislative Assistant and later climbed to the position of Legislative Director working for a number of State Representatives. Since 2019, Meghan has served as a Chief of Staff in the Michigan Senate.

Meghan's continued involvement, both in the House and the Senate have allowed her to see firsthand the problems facing Michiganders and helped her to build the network and the skills needed to hit the ground running once elected. Her work in the Michigan legislature shows a track record of championing conservative causes and the ability to get conservative legislation passed into law.

Meghan’s commitment to mid-Michigan values and fiscal conservatism have also guided her as Chair of the Livingston County Republican Party and her efforts to help elect Republican candidates in offices up and down the ballot.

In addition to her public service, Meghan followed in her parent's footsteps and opened her first business, MMasonDesigns, LLC., in 2003.  Later, she started her second company, Victory Graphics and Consulting LLC, in 2015.
