ABOUT MEGHAN

Meghan grew up on her family farm in the small mid-Michigan town of Howell, where her parents have been small business owners for over 30 years. It was there that she began to learn the value of hard work, spending her days on the farm and at the family business when not in school.

While in high school, Meghan was active in both the local and statewide chapters of the TeenAge Republicans. Through her involvement, she developed a love of politics, so after graduating from Howell High School in 2003, she attended Michigan State University, where she studied political science. During her first year in college Meghan also began an internship with the Michigan House of Representatives. By 2004 she took a full-time position as a Legislative Assistant and later climbed to the position of Legislative Director working for a number of State Representatives. Since 2019, Meghan has served as a Chief of Staff in the Michigan Senate.
Since 2018, Meghan has served as Chair of the Livingston County Republican Party (LCRP), where her commitment to mid-Michigan family values and fiscal conservatism has guided her efforts to help elect Republican candidates in offices up and down the ballot.
As Chair of the Livingston County Republican Party, Meghan drastically increased our membership and participation. She raised more money than any Chair before her to help elect conservatives, keeping Livingston County redder. Most importantly, Meghan’s professionalism and ability to treat everyone respectfully and fairly have made the LCRP the best county party in Michigan.
Meghan followed in her parent's footsteps and opened her first business, MMasonDesigns, LLC., in 2003. Later, she started her second company, Victory Graphics and Consulting LLC, in 2015.

Meghan has not waited until she's running for office to make a difference in our community. In 2020, Meghan was appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Livingston County Foundation. She is also an active volunteer for Livingston County Meals on Wheels, the Salvation Army, Gleaners, and the Student Statesmanship Institute. Meghan also serves as a coach through the Fowlerville Community Schools Recreation Department.
Meghan and her husband, Mark, a law enforcement officer for over 17 years, reside in Handy Township with their two children.
WHY ELECT MEGHAN?

Meghan is the only candidate running to represent the third district on the Livingston County Commission that has been active in our community and has a proven record of getting results for the residents of Livingston County without waiting to be elected.
Meghan has been highly active in our community as a volunteer. Meghan serves as a driver for Livingston County Meals on Wheels and volunteers for the Salvation Army and Gleaners. For years, Meghan has been a strong supporter of many non-profits throughout our community, including the Workskills Foundation, the Livingston County Sunrise Rotary Club, Second

She also has a love for our veterans and spends much of her time volunteering to help with events hosted at the Howell American Legion.
Meghan is the only candidate running who is not waiting to get elected to make a difference! She has actively been working with local Fire Departments, township officials, and county officials to reduce the EMS response time for residents living in southwestern Livingston County. She is advocating for rural townships -- such as Putnam and Unadilla -- to get their fair of road and bridge funding and is actively working with county officials on her proposal to provide residents with $3 million worth of tax relief by using federal ARPA dollars to waive resident's winter property tax bills. Meghan is confident that residents are going to see some financial relief to help with the rising cost of living through her direct efforts.
Chance Ministries, the Arc of Livingston County, Reaching Higher, the Amber Reineck House, Livingston County Catholic Charities, and the Vetter Foundation.
Meghan is the only candidate running for County Commissioner in the third district that actively fought against Grethen Whitmer's unconstitutional shutdowns and mandates. She is also the only conservative candidate running that has actively fought to restore the integrity of our state's election system. With the far left attempting to infiltrate local government here in Livingston County, now is not the time to elect candidates who flip-flop on conservative issues or pretend to be something they are not. We need a patriotic fighter with a record of successful, conservative achievements. There is no doubt that Meghan is the best candidate with a proven, America First record, to be our next County Commissioner.

Lastly, Meghan is the most accessible and transparent candidate running for County Commissioner. It is extremely important to her that as a candidate for local office, she be completely accessible to those she hopes to represent.
Her cell phone number (810-522-8265) is on her website, social media, and all of her campaign literature. Positive or negative, Meghan believes that listening to the residents of the district and being easy for them to connect with is imperative. Too often, elected officials hide and become ghosts once elected. One of Meghan's top campaign promises is that she will continue to be available and easy to connect with.
